Senior Project Controller

Location: Netherlands

As a Senior Project Controller, you will have a varied and independent role, managing several projects simultaneously. You will effortlessly switch between daily financial reporting and establishing strategic management structures. Your role is broad and impactful: from forecasting and budget control to business case analyses and stakeholder management. You will also have the opportunity to bring your own initiatives and further develop your role.

Your role

• You will start with medium-sized projects in shipbuilding, including new construction and design components.
• The complex projects are multinational and span multiple entities/countries, resulting in complex consolidation of reports and structures.
• You will collaborate closely with your fellow Project Controllers, Business Controller, and Financial Controller colleagues.
• You will have the opportunity to travel to the project site to monitor project progress.
• You will contribute ideas and initiate initiatives on how we maintain financial control during these complex projects.
• You will prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. • Identify risks and advise on course corrections based on current project data.
• Consult with the project manager on progress, planning, and commercial considerations.
• Contribute to the optimization of project processes and management.

Who are you?

• A completed higher professional or university degree in finance, business economics, or a similar field.
• At least several years of experience as a project controller or financial project advisor.
• Experience with project-based work in a technical or industrial environment is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think conceptually.
• Good communication skills, proactive, and able to switch between different levels.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English.
