Project Engineer Structural (Naval)

Location: Netherlands

On behalf of a prestigious client within the high-end yacht building sector, we are seeking a Project Engineer Structural. Working alongside specialists from Mechanical Engineering, Interior, Electrical, and Exterior disciplines, you ensure that the complete engineering package integrates seamlessly.

As a Project Engineer Structural, you are involved in the entire process, from the initial design phase through to hull delivery. No two projects are alike. Every yacht is unique, making your role dynamic, technically challenging, and highly rewarding.

Working alongside specialists from Mechanical Engineering, Interior, Electrical, and Exterior disciplines, you ensure that the complete engineering package integrates seamlessly.

Your Role

• You are the go-to specialist for all non-standard structural challenges.
• You coordinate the entire structural engineering phase, from design through detailed engineering.
• You act as the main point of contact for structural matters within the project team, suppliers, and client representatives.
• You are given both the freedom and responsibility to guide complex, high-value projects.

Who you are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Maritime Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project/senior engineering within ship or yacht construction.
• Proven experience with FEM analysis and relevant software (e.g., ANSYS, Siemens NX, AutoCAD, RFEM).
• Knowledge of international regulations, classification societies, and shipbuilding standards.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and problem-solving abilities.
• Communicatively strong, A team player and Quality-driven.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Valid work permit for the Netherlands.
